Today Cindy Gibson is reviewing both books in the Morgan Brother series, you lucky readers!!

Coming Home Review:

Victoria (Tori) has had to return to the house she grew up in when her grandmother dies. Her grandmother was her only living relative. Tori’s best friend from early childhood is Kevin. These two have been inseparable most of their lives. Kevin has an older brother named Drue. Drue is the total opposite of Tori and Kevin. They are out going and like to have fun. Drue is always so serious and a hard worker. What no one know is that Tori has been in love with Drue since she was in pigtails. On her high school graduation day Tori gets up the nerve to kiss Drue. However it doesn’t end well and Drue rejects Tori. Drue believed along with everyone else that Tori and Kevin would end up together. Tori is broken hearted and moves to Chicago.

While in town settling her grandmothers estate, her and Drue grow closer. These two have a sweet love connection that I enjoyed. I have to say that their is only one sex scene in this book. But even with that I enjoyed the chemistry between Tori and Drue. There are so many laugh out loud moments. This book was just the lighthearted book I needed. Its sweet and of course Drue is a MAJOR HOTTIE. I also LOVED the relationship between Kevin and Tori. This is definitely a must read. Savanna Grey has given us an excellent romantic book, with very likeable characters. I give Coming Home 4 stars.

Favorite Quotes:

“It’s never been like that with anyone else. Only you. I want to be with you, talk with you, share my day, but most of all I want to hold you, to love you Tori. I’ve never wanted anything more.” — Drue

“In my heart you’ve always been mine. You’ve always belonged here with me. I just wouldn’t let myself believe it would ever come to fruition because of yours and Kevin’s friendship.” He took a breath.

“What I’m trying to say is that I want to be with you. I love you, Victoria Winslow. I always have. I am not letting you go so foolishly again.”– Drue

Playing for Keeps Review

Playing for Keeps is the second installment of The Morgan Brothers series. And let me start off by saying I LOVED this series. Savanna Grey has given us another fabulous book. Playing for Keeps is the story of Kevin and Katy, however we get more of Drue and Tori’s relationship.

I rally enjoyed Kevin’s character in Coming Home, but absolutely fell for him in Playing for Keeps. Two of my favorite scenes him and Katy Angel Tree shopping on Black Friday. and him being Santa for the kids. He really stole my heart. You couldn’t ask for a sweeter man. But another thing I LOVED about Kevin his he has a dirty side which I LOVED too.

If you read Coming Home you will remember Katy as Tori’s best friend and co-worker from Chicago. I really liked getting to know her better. She is sweet and sassy just the type of women Kevin needs.

So as I was reading I was enjoying the story line thinking “Oh How Sweet” then BAM BAM BAM Savanna Grey throws us a curve ball. Let me say that you need tissues handy during a certain scene. As a mother it just tore me up. Interested? READ THE BOOK!!! Cause that’s all I’m saying about that.

So anyway due to a “situation” Katy has come to town to help take care of Tori and help with the editing of Tori’s book. Well due to the situation she and Kevin spend a lot of time together. They both try to fight the chemistry between them, but eventually give in. I LOVED the chemistry and sexual tension between these two. It was sweet with a little spice. I also LOVED the banter between these two. They cracked me up.

Playing For Keeps is a sweet romantic book with a little spice. I enjoyed the Christmas theme. I am such a sucker for a holiday themed book. I gave Playing for Keeps 4 1/2 stars, and I will definitely look for more books from Savanna Grey in the future.

Favorite Quotes:

I do want you, but I don’t want that to get in the way of friendships either, but now that I have tasted you, don’t expect it to be easy for me to not do it again.” His seductive tone made her shutter with excitement. Her cheeks flushed a soft shade of pink. He leaned in and brushed a gentle kiss to her lips. “It’s like a potato chip. You can’t have just one and be satisfied.” — Kevin

“I’ve never wanted anyone so badly. All I can think about is being inside of you.” — Kevin

“For once I don’t want to think. I don’t want to analyze the situation. I just want to feel, and I definitely don’t want you to stop. I need you too, Kevin. — Katy

“What we have here is amazing. I’ve never felt anything like it with anyone else, so whatever it is, don’t belittle it with fear of what others may think.” — Kevin

“I think, “she whispered, “that I am in grave danger of losing my heart to you.” — Katy

“But if I possess it, then it is not truly lost but held by me.” As his hands caressed her body, his lips trailed close behind. “I think I like the idea of having you and your heart as my prisoners.” —Kevin
